The phased introduction of
the revised Northern Ireland Curriculum for
Key Stage 3 and 4 began in September 2007.
At Key Stage 3, a greater
emphasis is placed on skills
development throughout all the Learning
Areas (e.g. English, Environment and
Society, Mathematics, Modern Languages,
Science and Technology and Religious
Education).
At Key Stage 4 , there is more of an emphasis on Learning for Life
and Work and Skills and Capabilities.
